Check Your Financial Aid Status
Welcome to the Financial Aid Portal. Students can view their financial aid status and awards 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
If you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and included Lower Columbia College as one of your school choices, you can view your status in the Financial Aid Portal, including your award amounts.
To log in to the Financial Aid Portal you need your Social Security number (no dashes) and your Global PIN issued by Registration, and used to access the student Kiosk. Your initial Global PIN will be your birth date in (mmddyy) format.
For example, a student born on January 9, 1985 will need to enter 010985.
Students can change their Global PINs in the Kiosk.
However, if you change your Global PIN to a 4-digit number, you need to add a zero at the beginning. For example: 1234 should be entered as 01234.
Global PIN changes will not update in the Financial Aid Portal until that evening when the synchronization runs to match the Global PIN to the Financial Aid Password.
What you can see and do in the Portal:
- Documents you have turned in, or need to turn in
- Messages from our office
- Loan disbursements made
- View your financial aid award
- See the amount of your financial aid check after tuition and fees have been paid. The dollar amount of your check will post in the column titled 'Additional Info'. If the dollar amount displays all zeros, contact the our office.
If you decide not to attend, you must notify the Financial Aid Office by Friday of the first week of classes. Beginning Winter Quarter 2011: if you received a financial aid check, return it in full to the LCC Cashier. Students whose tuition is paid and fail to attend will have a repayment calculated per federal regulations.
Please note: Your application for financial aid, in addition to registering for classes, implies acceptance of your financial aid award and certifies that you have read, understood, and agree to the Conditions of your Financial Aid Award, and LCC's Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards (SAP) which are listed in the Financial Aid Handbook. You allow the LCC cashier to pay your quarterly tuition and fees, and up to $200 for any unpaid funds you owe LCC with your award.
You are responsible for paying any tuition and fees not covered by your award.
Students who are awarded a loan and are attending LCC for the first time will not be issued a loan check until 30 days after the first quarters' classes start.
