Getting Started

First things first...

Attend a Welcome Session
For information about admission, financial aid, advising, placement or textbooks, attend a Welcome Session, offered weekdays on the hour. For more information contact the at 360.442.2311

Apply for Admission

Apply for Financial Aid

  • Access Financial Aid Information and Applications: Go to Financial Aid for information about filling out the FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You can also get information regarding scholarships, grants, loans and work-study.

Take a Placement Assessment

  • If you plan to get a degree or certificate, or transfer to a four-year institution, you need to take a placement assessment.

Meet an Advisor

  • Meet with an entry advisor before registering for classes. The advisor will help you interpret your placement scores and select your first-quarter classes.

Register & Pay

  • Online: Go the the Student Kiosk and access the links to register and pay online (you will need a PIN number).
  • In Person: After you and your advisor determine your schedule, register and pay your tuition and fees at the Admissions Center Cashier. Normally (except when registering during the summer for fall quarter) you must pay the Friday after you register. If you need more time to pay, check into purchasing a tuition deferment. For a net cost of $10, you can delay payment until the week before classes start.

Get Your PIN

  • When you register, get your PIN number to use the Student Kiosk.

Get a Parking Pass & Student I.D.

  • Parking Pass: The Entry Center will give you an annual student parking sticker for your car once you have paid your tuition.
  • Student ID: go to the Student Activities Office located in the Student Center to get your Student ID Card.

Buy Books

  • Textbooks may be purchased online or in person at the LCC Bookstore.
