What do I need to take a test?
Bring photo identification (LCC student ID or driver's license). You also need your instructor's name and the class number.

When can I take the tests?
Most courses have designated dates for taking tests. Check with your instructor. If there is a question regarding your test, you need to speak with your instructor. The staff can only follow the instructions given by the instructor.

If the testing room is full, you will be asked to sign in and wait. It's not a good idea to wait until the last day to test!

What do I need to do to take a computerized test?
Some tests are done on the computer. You must sign up in advance to assure that a computer is available for you. Students enrolled in online courses may call 360-442-2571 to make appointments.

Waiting until the test is due to make an appointment is not advisable, there are only seven slots available for each half hour.

How long do I have to test?
The amount of time you have to test is up to your instructor. The staff will record your start and end time. You’ll be responsible for monitoring your own time. It will be up to your instructor to determine the consequences if you exceed the time limit. All tests are collected at closing time. There is no extra time allowed.

What happens if the proctoring room is full when I show up?
In the event that the proctoring room is full, you will be asked to sign in and wait until a seat becomes available. Plan ahead. Leaving the test to the last day is not a good idea. Staff cannot make other arrangements. It is your responsibility to get in to take your test in a timely manner.

What can I take in to the testing room with me?
Your instructor will give the staff clear instructions whether you can use notes, a note card, calculator, open book, etc. for the test. You will be asked to leave backpack, book bags etc. in a designated area during testing. The use of cell phones while in the testing room is prohibited. See Cell Phone Policy, above.

What happens if someone does not follow instructions?
In the event that you do not follow the specific instructions given, an incident report will be written and attached to the test. Your instructor will determine the consequences.
