Contemporary Musicianship & Audio Technology
Explore music careers at LCC
Thousands of Northwest people make their living at music, as performers, sound technicians, studio musicians, or recording, producing and marketing music. Lower Columbia College will present a showcase program on careers and studies in Contemporary Musicianship and Audio Technology. Instructor Dale Groff will discuss careers in the music business, as well as LCC’s associate in applied arts degree program, and follow up with a facilities tour.

Elections 2008 - Exploring the Critical Issues
Contemporary Conversations is a weekly lecture series, addressing a different issue or topic every quarter.
This Fall, speakers will explore the critical issues confronting the 2008 Elections. Speakers will be faculty members, community participants and others with particular expertise on the topic.
The hour-long lectures, each with a Q & A session, are free and open to the public. They'll be held in the new Rose Center for the Arts.
If you'd like to receive 1 Humanity elective credit, enroll in HUMN 116 and complete a short critique after each presentation.

Suzanne is a former food editor and writer for the Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She is a two-time winner of both the James Beard and Bert Greene Awards for food journalism.
Northwest Voices brings successful writers to Lower Columbia College and the Longview Public Library to discuss their craft and read from their work. The public is invited to these free workshops and readings.

The Spaghetti Feed will be Wednesday, 5:30 pm in the LCC Student Center.
LCC coaches will discuss their teams and there is also a special guest speaker, former Seahawks Pro-Bowler Mack Strong. Cost is $7 per person. LCC Booster Club members are free!

The murder of Matthew Shepard, by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theatre Project.
The Laramie Project is about bigotry in a small town America, where opinions and accounts of that night in 1998 are revealed and the spectators watch as they weigh each piece of testimony.
