There are three different types of online courses. Most are offered through ANGEL, LCC's online learning management system. Here is a general description of each.
- Online
Online courses generally do not have a face-to-face component. Students complete all course work via the Internet, usually by going to the college’s learning management system ANGEL, logging in with a username and password, and accessing their virtual classroom.

- Hybrid
Hybrid courses blend face-to-face interaction with online participation and learning. For example: students go online, read lessons, take a practice quiz, come to a face-to-face class and talk about what they learned online.

- Internet Enhanced
Some face-to-face courses have an additional, non-required component. These courses are to as “Internet-enhanced.” For example: a face-to-face instructor makes all syllabus and class handouts available for download via a Web site.
