Project Features
The 70,000-square foot, three-story brick and stucco building will be located on what is now the Maple Street Parking lot adjacent to the Main Building.

The facility includes a 140-seat lecture hall large enough to seat several lecture classes together and also to serve as a venue for community programs.

The new building will be LEED Silver certified and feature a partial grass roof, designed to keep the building cooler by reducing sun exposure and to help buffer rainwater. Three types of solar panels are planned for the facility along with monitoring equipment that will provide instructional data in energy conservation for students and serve as a potential demonstration site for builders in the community.

A cafe and coffee shop in the building lobby, open study and meeting areas are designed to bring faculty and students together outside the classroom. Research shows that this kind of interaction increases student success.
