Expand Young Minds

Partnering with schools, parents and the community to provide fun, engaging, hands-on opportunities for kids to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

From engineering and design to geometry as art, students learn how STEM/STEAM relates to their everyday life and are encouraged to consider careers in STEM fields.

Family STEM Night

September 21, 2018; 4:30 pm - 7 pm LCC Student Center (STC)

Join LCC and partners for a free evening for parents and children to engage in hands-on STEM activities. 

  • Open to Pre-K - 6th grade students.
  • No charge to attend.
  • Accepting non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries.

About STEM

Activities are offered throughout the year, many at no charge. Focus on different elements of STEM/STEAM, science, technology, engineering, art and math.

  • Annual Events: Family STEM Night, Summer Kids College, SEMI High Tech U,
  • Quarterly STEAM Events: Middle School Leadership Camp, Try-a-Trade, Youth in Government

STEAM-2School

Looking to bring STEAM activities to your school? We can help!

Perfect for Family Nights, a great way to engage your families in hands-on learning.

You select five activities for your STEAM night, we provide the lessons, materials, training for volunteers and learning objectives.

STEAM-2School can be tailored to meet the needs of both elementary and middle school students.

STEM/STEAM
