Emphasizes principles and processes governing the ocean and its interactions with the surrounding physical environment. Covers topics from physical, chemical, biological and geological oceanography, including origin and evolution of the ocean basins, seafloor sediments, seawater, currents, waves, tides, marine life, and human impacts.
