Use your high school GPA and completion of Algebra 2 or higher to directly place into college-level math.

We recently added GPA math placement as a placement measure and if eligible, could save you hundreds of dollars in tuition. If you graduated from high school in the last 10 years, you may be able to use your high school transcript to place into a college-level math course at Lower Columbia College.


Did you graduate high school in the last 5 years?

If you completed Algebra 2 or higher with a C or better Then you can enroll in one of the following
AND your cumulative GPA was ≥ 2.6 MATH& 107 Math in Society
MATH& 131 Math for Elementary Teachers I
MATH& 146 Introduction to Statistics
AND your cumulative GPA was ≥ 3.0 MATH 125 Applied College Algebra
MATH& 141 Pre-Calculus I

 

Did you graduate high school in the last 5-10 years?

If you completed Algebra 2 or higher with a C or better Then you can enroll in one of the following
AND your cumulative GPA was ≥ 3.0 MATH& 107 Math in Society
MATH& 131 Math for Elementary Teachers I
MATH& 146 Introduction to Statistics
AND your cumulative GPA was ≥ 3.5 MATH 125 Applied College Algebra
MATH& 141 Pre-Calculus I
