Disability and Access Services (DAS) assists qualified students with disabilities
by providing accommodations and equal access to academic programs and activities.
Our goals are to:
- Create a respectful and confidential environment.
- Develop a plan of accommodation that fit your needs.
- Teach you how to request accommodations.
- Implement those accommodations in a timely manner.
- Promote campus wide accessibility.
"My ability is stronger than my disability."
—Luke Watson
Procedure for obtaining Disability and Access Services:
- Schedule an Intake Interview with the DAS Director.
- Obtain and provide documentation of your disability prior to the intake, if possible. (During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is possible to
be approved for accommodations without providing medical documentation of your disability.)
- Conduct intake with the DAS Director and discuss your specific needs.
- Once approved for accommodations, fill out a Quarterly Request for Academic Accommodations and attach a copy of your schedule.
We can assist with campus resources, academic coaching, and even guide you with the
process of becoming an LCC student. We are committed to your growth and success as
a college student and look forward to meeting you soon!
