Do I need to apply for the program?
Yes, students interested in the BAS-OLTM program must complete an application and be accepted into the program. All applicants will receive a letter indicating if they have been accepted into the program.
Can I start the program any quarter?
No, the BAS-OLTM program is a cohort model and accepts new cohorts every academic year. Odd years (2021, 2023, 2025, etc.) a full-time model will be offered and even years (2022, 2024, 2026, etc.) a part-time model will be offered. Applications open in December and are accepted through June 30th. Late applications may be accepted based on circumstance and space availability.
When are classes offered?
The BAS-OLTM is completed in a hybrid format. A hybrid format means part of the course is delivered in the classroom and part of the course is delivered online. Classes are generally offered 5:30-7:00 p.m. Mondays and 5:30-8:45 p.m. Wednesdays. The classes have a significant, 60+ percent online component.
How long is the program?
Most students complete the full-time program in six quarters. Full-time students take 3 classes per quarter for a total of 15 credits per quarter. The part-time cohort takes nine quarters to complete and continues through summer quarters. Part-time cohorts complete 10 credits per quarter.
How much time will I spend on school each week?
Each course requires an average of 15 hours per week for class time, homework, studying, etc. Since you will be taking three classes per quarter, you should set aside an average of 45 hours per week for school.
