The power is back on, and DTV and Parking Lot 'B' are now open and operating as usual - Learn More.

If you are a first-time college student, or returning after an absence of two+ years, follow these steps to enroll and register for classes at LCC.

In order to help students complete their course of study in a timely manner, the opening of registration is staggered. Current students are invited to register first, followed by new students. Exception: summer quarter. The Academic Calendar, along with the Advising staff, are your best resource for when you should register. New students pursuing a degree or certificate are required to attend a New Student Orientation.

For assistance please visit the Entry Center located in the lobby of the Admissions Center during regular business hours, email, or call (360) 442-2311.

Step 1

Apply for Admission

If you have never attended Lower Columbia College before, and plan to register for classes leading to a degree or certificate, you must apply for admission to Lower Columbia College.

Step 2

Apply for Financial Aid

Submitting your FAFSA or WASFA is the first step in applying for financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and other types of aid.

Step 3

Determine your Program

Careful career planning is one of the first steps in achieving your educational goals. Browse available programs of study or contact the Career Center to meet with a career specialist.

Step 4

Complete Placement Testing

Start your college classes at the right level! Placement testing helps us evaluate your Math and English needs, so you can get started and save on tuition. After testing your advisor will recommend the best Math and English courses for your program.

Step 5

Attend New Student Orientation

You will be assigned to a New Student Orientation session after completing your Placement Assessment (Step 4). This two-hour class will get you started at LCC as well as register for your first quarter of classes.

Step 6

Pay your Tuition and Fees

Tuition due dates are posted on the Academic Calendar. A Tuition Payment Plan is available for students who are interested in making smaller, more convenient monthly payments.

Step 7

Buy your Books

Take your student schedule to the LCC Bookstore or order your books online.
