Summer sunshine

Many students take online classes in the summer. »Learn more!

In order to help students complete their courses in a timely manner, the opening of registration is staggered. Current students are invited to register first, followed by new students. The Academic Calendar, along with the Advising staff, are your best resource for when you should register.

Step 1

Apply for Admission

If you have never attended Lower Columbia College before, and plan to register for classes, you must apply for admission first.

Step 2

Complete Placement Testing

Start your college classes at the right level! Placement testing helps us evaluate your Math and English needs, so you can get started and save on tuition. After testing your advisor will recommend the best Math and English courses for your program.

Step 3

Transfer your Credits

If you need credits added to your transcript, please request *official transcripts sent to Lower Columbia College and submit the Transcript Evaluation Request Form.

*An official transcript is the college or university’s certified statement of your academic record. The official paper transcript is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the official seal and signature of the college or university’s registrar. Official transcripts are always sealed and unopened.

Step 4

Schedule Phone Appointment with Entry Advisor

Call the Entry Center at 360.442.2311 to schedule a phone appointment with an Entry Advisor who will assist you with your online New Student Orientation and registering for your classes.

The online version of New Student Orientation is only available to students who take all online classes (i.e., never come to campus).

Step 5

Pay your Tuition and Fees

Tuition due dates are posted on the Academic Calendar. A Tuition Payment Plan is available for students who are interested in making smaller, more convenient monthly payments.

Step 6

Buy your Books

Take your student schedule to the LCC Bookstore or order your books online.

Step 7

Attend Class!
