The Open Doors Youth Reengagement program is dedicated to empowering students to achieve their high school diploma and prepare for their next steps in life; such as earning stackable certifications to earn short-term credentials to help students boost their skills and advance in employment.

Overview

Open Doors Youth Reengagement is a system that provides education and services to older youth, ages 16-21, who have dropped out of school or are not expected to graduate from high school by the age of 21. The Open Doors Youth Reengagement program is dedicated to empowering students to achieve their high school diploma and prepare for their next steps in life. Our program offers personalized support and resources to help students succeed academically, professionally, and personally. 

Open Doors is a reengagement program designed for students who:

  • Are ages 16-21 years old.
  • Have not earned a high school diploma
  • Are significantly short on high school credits, or are more than one year past their original cohort graduation date.
  • Want to finish high school or its equivalent while gathering meaningful, employable skills and training.
  • Want access to a wide variety of college courses.
  • Enrolled through a high school which LCC has an active OSPI approved consortium agreement/Contract.

Open Doors is a collaboration between Lower Columbia College and contracted Public Schools'. Please check with your school district.'
