Students will form teams and compete for the highest scores by demonstrating basic to advanced welding and torch skills learned in high school. First, second and third place teams will receive a trophy to display at their high school.
Winning results will be featured on the LCC website at lowercolumbia.edu/high-school-programs/welding-competition.
The competition gives students an opportunity test their welding skills and learn about future welding career opportunities. They get a chance to work in LCC’s welding lab, where actual welding courses take place.
