Max and Karen Anderson and John and Jenna Anderson provided a major gift to the Lower Columbia College (LCC) Foundation in honor and memory of their parents, David M. and Mary P. Anderson.
The David M. and Mary P. Anderson Endowed Scholarship and the Student Success Fund Endowment will each receive half of the Andersons' $50,000 gift.
“The LCC Foundation has named the outdoor pavilion located in the center of campus the Anderson Family Pavilion in recognition of the Anderson family for their continued philanthropic support of LCC which has reached nearly $100,000,” — Kendra Sprague, LCC Vice President of Foundation, HR & Legal Affairs.
Max and John's father, David Anderson moved his financial and estate planning practice, now known as Anderson and Anderson Advisory, LLC., to Longview in 1978. After moving to Longview, David and Pat Anderson became actively involved in church and community activities while raising their four children.
Though both parents have passed, sons Max and John continue the Anderson & Anderson Advisory, LLC family business and continue the legacy of community involvement.
“The College is a catalyst for innovation and growth in this community where our families have grown,” — Max Anderson.
“We are proud of the partnership with the LCC Foundation and the impact that our gift will have on so many people who are trying to better their lives through higher education,” — John Anderson. “LCC truly does change lives.”
In addition to the generous financial support of LCC, Max Anderson is an LCC alumnus who served a combined 17 years on both the LCC Foundation Board and Board of Trustees.
“In the spirit of gratitude it is with great honor that we dedicate the Anderson Family Pavilion,” — LCC President, Chris Bailey.
