Veterans Services Offering Two Free Seminars February 26

Dan Overton from the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs will be on campus February 26 to present two free seminars: Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury and Understanding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

These trainings are designed to raise awareness and understanding of these “invisible wounds” to better serve veterans and their families. Both seminars are free and staff, students, faculty, and members of the public are all welcome to attend.

Trainings will be held on February 26 in the Laufman Lecture Hall (HSB 101).

• Understanding Traumatic Brain Injury, February 26, 9 – 10:30 am
• Understanding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, February 26, 11 am – 12:30 pm

Dan Overton is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist who also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and is currently licensed in the State of Washington (LHMC). He’s been an adjunct professor for over a decade with Western International University and has been working with veterans since the beginning of his professional career at the Seattle VA Medical Center in the mid-1980s.
