Marc Silva appointed to the LCC Board of Trustees

Lower Columbia College (LCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Silva to the LCC Board of Trustees. LCC Trustees are appointed by the governor.

Marc is the AVP and Branch Manager of Columbia Bank in Longview. He started his banking career as a teller with Washington Mutual, later absorbed by Chase Bank. Marc’s next destination was Wauna Credit Union, where he worked as a loan officer until his promotion to branch manager in Warrenton. Marc was thrilled to forgo his lengthy daily commute when he accepted the Branch Manager position at Columbia Bank in Longview five years ago.

Marc and wife Kristin Silva initially moved to Longview when Kristin accepted a teaching position at St. Rose School. Although the original intent was to stay for a relatively short time, the couple fell in love with the community and have made Longview their home for the last 15 years. Marc and Kristin have two children, Lauren and Mary Lou.

Marc holds an Associate of Arts degree from Portland Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Portland State University. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Longview in addition to serving as a trustee for LCC.
