Campus Hours

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Save yourself time and money by starting your math classes at the right level. Here's how.

Math placement determines which math class you'll take first at LCC. Placement can be anywhere from College and Career Preparation (CCP) classes to Math 151 (Calculus I). There are many different ways to determine math placement, such as your high school transcript or previous test scores.

One option available to all entering students is the LCC math placement test, which consists of four timed, sequential assessments (not multiple choice) done on the computer. See Topics Covered on the Math Placement Test.

Students who plan to earn a degree or certificate at LCC, or who plan to transfer to a four-year institution, must complete placement testing or provide documentation for one of the alternative placement options before enrolling.
