Program map for Early Childhood Education Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
The Early Childhood Education program provides students with academic coursework and field experience necessary to become a teacher of children ages birth to eight years. The program allows the student to experience working with young children and mentor teachers. The program includes teaching methods in reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, arts, and assessment techniques. Students can complete Washington State Stackable Certificates while working toward a two-year degree. All early childhood classes are STARS approved, allowing students to meet yearly state requirements while working on a certificate or degree.
