Yes! In fact, we have a very limited supply (primarily for employees), so you are encouraged to make your own cloth face covering when possible. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost using a variety of patterns. You don’t even need to sew! Employees can submit a receipt for reimbursement of the materials needed to make their mask. The CDC has provided tutorials on how to make cloth face coverings.
Looking for a super quick and easy way to make your own face covering? Although the narrative is in Spanish, this quick DIY video shows how to make a mask from a sock and paper napkin (requires scissors, but no other tools).
LCC will provide students and employees with a mask if they choose not to wear one of their own. If you choose to use a face covering issued by the College, you can pick one up at the nearest health monitor station, or you can get one from security by calling (360) 442-2911.
Yes. Unvaccinated students are also required to wear face coverings while on campus, when around others. Students will be provided a face covering at the health monitor station if they need one.
If a student is not able to provide a face covering, they may obtain one when they check in at a health monitor station.
