Scholastic Achievement Award recipient

LCC Class of 2024

Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA)

Cayden Lukken

Cayden Lukken is a Running Start student who is graduating from high school and LCC simultaneously this spring. After receiving his transfer degree from LCC, Cayden plans to attend the University of Washington Seattle in the fall to pursue a bachelor's degree in mathematics.

During his time at LCC, Cayden had the opportunity to explore many opportunities unavailable to him in high school, including fencing, and speech and debate. His work at the LCC Tutoring Center allowed him to become very involved with the campus community, grow as a person, and gain valuable teaching experience.

Cayden's career goal is to pursue a master's degree in mathematics and become a math instructor at a community college.

When he's not studying, Cayden enjoys spending time with friends and family.

About Scholastic Achievement Awards

Lower Columbia College does not designate a valedictorian. Instead, we recognize three students with the highest grade point averages and most rigorous coursework in the following categories: baccalaureate, academic transfer, and professional/technical. Honorees are recognized during commencement.
