Each year's edition of The Salal Review features an inspired collection of artwork and literature by students, community members, and faculty and staff!
A new issue is revealed each May at the annual Salal Spring Arts Festival. The festival celebrates art, music, poetry and craft with artist demonstrations, poetry readings and live music.
Hard copies are available in the Student Activities Office and in the community. Online editions are available below in web friendly and PDF formats.
The Salal Review, Lower Columbia College's literary and art magazine, features an inspired collection of artwork and literature by students, community members, and faculty and staff!
The Salal team is made up of students and faculty advisors who curate and publish each year's edition during the academic year. Students must register for English 124, 125, 126 OR 224, 225, 226. This class also counts toward the humanities requirement in the DTA.
In 2008, 2009 and 2013, The Salal Review won Washington Community College Humanities Association Literary and Arts Magazine Award!
