Purchase the Vistas (first-year sequence) or Enfoques (second-year sequence) textbook and the temario (course outline) from the LCC Bookstore.

For individual assistance call 360.442.2240 or email bookstore@lowercolumbia.edu.

The textbook contains a card inside the front cover with a scratch-off code that gives access to the online Supersite.

First-year textbook

First half loose-leaf textbook (Lecciones 1-10)

  • Vistas Fifth Edition + SupersitePlus (vText) for Lecciones 1-10 only.
  • (good for 12 months) ISBN 978-1-68004-295-5
  • Buy this one if you are taking Spanish 121 only.

Complete loose-leaf textbook (Lecciones 1-18)

  • Vistas Fifth Edition + SupersitePlus( vText)
  • (good for 36 months) ISBN 978-1-62680-680-1
  • Buy this one if you are taking Spanish 121, 122, and 123, or 121 and 122.

A handy textbook + Supersite is also available at the LCC Library/Learning Commons Reserve Desk.

Test Proctoring Center

If you cannot take your exams in the LCC Test Proctoring Center because of distance, find an approved proctor at another learning institution. Discuss this with your instructor promptly so she can send exams to your proctor.

Access the Vistas online Supersite at www.vhlcentral.com

Select your textbook: Vistas, Fourth Edition, or Enfoques, Third Edition.

Using your scratch-off code for access, become acquainted with the online Supersite. If asked to register, select Extreme Spanish. Ignore WEB-Sam; we do not use that feature. Instead, we use only the Tutorials, Practice, and Assessment tabs. Although the Supersite suggests that your instructor will review your work, this is not true; your grade is determined by exams, llamadas, and occasional pop quizzes, as explained in the syllabus (found in the temario). The instructor will email your scores after each exam.

Check your college email often as your course proceeds.

Your instructor will provide helpful hints throughout the course, as well as pop quizzes!
