The new pavilion improves the quality of open space on the campus, serves as an inviting entrance into the center of campus, and enhances the ability to offer outdoor gatherings and events.
Anderson Family Pavilion
In 2017 the Anderson family made a major gift to the Lower Columbia College Foundation to support the Student Success Fund and student scholarships, and name the covered outdoor pavilion. Read more.
Pickett Plaza
In 2018 the water feature and surrounding stone circle area near the Pavilion was named in honor of Dr. Vernon "Pete" Pickett for his distinguished service as President of Lower Columbia College from 1980 - 1997. Read more.
About the Pavilion
The pavilion is part of the college's Facilities Master Plan to improve campus access, infrastructure and facilities. It replaced the aged Instructional Office Building in 2015.
