Integrated Basic Education & Skills Training (I-BEST)

Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST) is a nationally recognized, proven program for student success. Students in LCC’s I-BEST program excel with twice the support and instruction, learning job skills while earning certificates and degrees in high demand careers. Students learn in a team teaching environment and have weekly access to extra instruction and assistance with an I-BEST instructor. Credits earned are applied toward two year Associate degrees in high demand career fields.

About the Program

The I-BEST Program is designed for students who:

Want to excel in their classes, working with a team of teachers dedicated to student academic and professional success.
Want to increase their professional skills and wages, training for an in-demand job in one of 11 professional/technical career fields.
Are seeking Financial Aid, but don't have a high school diploma or GED.

I-BEST Instructors:

Help with coursework
Prep for quizzes and tests
Review papers
Help with course technology
Help with study skills
If students miss class or get behind and need help catching or need clarification on assignments

Cost

The quarterly CCP fee is waived for I-BEST Students, so tuition is all that is required. Need assistance? Find out how to pay for college.

Excel with I-BEST

Students excel with twice the support and instruction working with a team of teachers dedicated to student success.
Students receive additional weekly academic support available targeted to classroom studies.
91 percent of I-BEST students pass their classes with a 2.0 or above
89 percent of I-BEST students earn credits attempted
I-BEST students earn an average honors level GPA of 3.26

Academic I-BEST

Academic I-BEST is available for students planning on completing any LCC AAS-T, BAS degree or transferring to another college or university. Students can take advantage of twice the support and instruction in a few select courses each quarter, fall through spring.
