Admission to the Nursing Program is competitive. Applicants must receive passing scores on the Nursing Admission Exams in order to be eligible for consideration.

Campus-Based AN-DTA Registered Nurse
LPN Entry (LPN2RN) to Registered Nurse Program
- Test of Essential Abilities (TEAS)
- Kaplan Transitions.
- This exam is 90 questions designed to evaluate knowledge of students transitioning from a Practical Nurse program to a program leading to Registered Nurse licensure. To prepare for this exam, it is recommended to review any NCLEX-PN preparation guide.

General Exam Information
- Admission tests are scheduled by the Testing Center after the nursing application has been processed.
- Prior test component scores from LCC, or another testing center, may be used to meet
the required minimum subject area scores. Component scores from a single or multiple
attempts may be utilized to meet minimum score requirements for all four subject areas.
- Reading: 69%
- Math: 63.3%
- Science: 45.8%
- English: 60%
- In a situation where it is necessary to use the TEAS score to determine admission priority in a tie-breaking situation, the most recent composite score will be utilized.
- The TEAS Version 7 has been offered since June 3, 2022. TEAS Version 6 scores may be utilized to qualify for admission as long as the exam was taken within two calendar years of the application closing date.
- Testing dates are typically between April 15 and July 20 for cycle 1 (fall/winter admission); and August 15 and November 15 for cycle 2 (winter/spring admission).
- If testing accommodations are required, this must be arranged before scheduling the exam.
- Arrive 15 minutes early on the day of your exam.
- Bring photo identification to the testing site.
- Scores will be available immediately upon completion of the exam.
