How to Get Started in the Nursing Program
Please select one of the program options listed below to learn about the process.
For specific degree requirements click the above button. Select the 'Nursing' tab, then click on the Program Planner for the degree you are interested in.
If you are new to LCC, please first apply to LCC, then contact the One-Stop Center for assistance with the new student steps. You may need to schedule an advising appointment with a Health Care Specialist/Education Planner to develop your individualized education plan.
7-credit Nursing Assistant Certificate of Completion
This certificate provides the content and experiences for students to achieve mastery of the state-defined competencies required to assist in giving basic nursing care to residents/clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Registered Nurse Program
When you have completed (or are enrolled in) the required support courses with a minimum grade of C in each course and have a cumulative grade point of 2.8 or higher in the required courses, you may apply for admission to the Nursing Program within the dates posted on the application. Once your application is processed you will be contacted to schedule the admission exams.
To be considered for admission to the nursing program, applicants must meet the minimum required subject area scores on the TEAS. If there are more qualifying students than seats available, eligible candidates will be ranked based on selective admission points. See Nursing Program Admission Requirements for more information about selective admission to the nursing program. Students will be selected based on ranking by points. Applicants will be notified by email of ther admission status. Final admission is pending transcript evaluation.

Registered Nurse LPN2RN and Campus-Based Option
When you have completed the required non-nursing courses with a minimum grade of C in each course and have a cumulative grade point of 2.8 or higher in the required courses, you may apply for admission to the Nursing Program within the dates posted on the application. See LPN2RN or Campus-Based Application Form. Once your application is processed you will be contacted to schedule the admission exams.
To be considered for admission to the LPN-entry program options, applicants must meet the minimum required subject area scores on the TEAS and Kaplan LPN Readiness exam. If there are more qualifying students than seats available, eligible candidates will be ranked based on selective admission points. See Nursing Program Admission Requirements for more information about selective admission to the nursing program. Students will be selected based on ranking by points. Applicants will be notified by email of their admission status. Final admission is pending transcript evaluation.
