A Brief Overview of the Nursing Program

LCC's Nursing Program began as an LPN program, graduating its first class in 1954. In 1971, the first Associate Degree RN class graduated.

The Nursing program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

Over 200 students are enrolled in LCC's Nursing Program. We offer a traditional campus-based associate's degree Nursing Program, a campus-based LPN2RN option for LPNs returning to complete their associate degree in nursing, an elearning LPN2RN option in which the theory courses are completed online and clinical is completed in an intense full-time summer session.
