LCC Class of 2020
Associate in Applied Science, Welding

Mark Speranza

Mark Speranza is a 4.0 student receiving his associate of arts degree in welding. His application to be an apprentice with the Boilermakers Union has been accepted, and he is waiting for his name to be drawn. Mark’s career goal is to become a journeyman with the Boilermakers Union local 502. He would also like to continue making metal art sculptures, like the “Building America” sculpture he constructed with LCC faculty member and mentor David Pittlsey earlier this year.

Scholastic Achievement Awards are presented to the students graduating with the highest grade point average and most rigorous coursework in academic transfer and professional-technical programs, in lieu of a single valedictorian. LCC’s four Scholastic Achievement Award winners for the year will be recognized during the commencement ceremony on June 19.
