Stefan Byman

Stefan Byman is receiving an Associate of Science Transfer degree in mechanical, civil, aeronautical, industrial, and materials science engineering. He will transfer to Washington State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating from WSU, Stefan hopes to become a project engineer in the construction industry.

LCC math instructor Jason Malozzi describes Stefan as a bright, humble, and hard-working student who asks higher-level questions and comes to class every day ready to learn.

In his free time, Stefan enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf and ice hockey, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends and family.

Lower Columbia College does not designate a valedictorian. Instead, we recognize three students with the highest grade point averages and most rigorous coursework in the following categories: baccalaureate, academic transfer, and professional/technical. Honorees are recognized during commencement.
