Veterans: Apply for Benefits

Applying for your benefits is your first step towards becoming an LCC student. For assistance with the process please contact a Veterans Services representative listed at the bottom of this page.


Apply for your Veterans Educational Benefits

Paperwork needed for your VA file

  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • DD-214 - Member 4 Copy
  • Placement Test Scores
  • Program Planner (we can print this out for you)
  • Copy of transcripts from other schools and/or Joint Service
  • Veteran Personal Data Sheet
  • Veteran Tuition Status Form
  • Class Schedule for each quarter

Steps to Apply for Benefits

Step 1

Complete Application for Education Benefits Online

Please have the following information easily accessible before you apply online:

  • Social Security number
  • Bank account direct deposit information
  • Veterans military history
  • Education history

Notes:

  • The average time for an application to be processed by the VA, once it is submitted, is 30 days.
  • If choosing Chapter 33 - Post 9/11 GI Bill®, the Veteran will have to relinquish rights to Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill® (MGIB).
  • Our VA Regional Office located in Muskogee Oklahoma.


Step 2

After an application has been submitted, the following paperwork will be needed for your student file. Please submit all documents to the Veterans Services window in the Admissions Center next to Financial Aid.

  • DD-214 - Member 4 Copy
  • Placement Test Scores
  • Class Schedule for each quarter
  • If your application is approved, a Certificate of Eligibility letter will be sent to you via mail directly from VA. Once you receive the letter, please submit a copy to the Veteran Services department.

Note:

  • If you are the spouse or child of a Veteran, you may be asked to submit additional paperwork, other than what was listed above, to the Veteran Services office.

Request Official Joint Service Transcript

Please be advised that in accessing this site you may encounter a security warning. This is normal. Please proceed accordingly.

Request to have an official JST copy sent electronically to our Registration department via the JST website.

If you choose to have your official JST copy sent by mail to our Registration department, please send it to the address below.
