Events & Activities

Join the Transfer Club!
Meet new people and learn about transferring to a four-year college or university. Trips to various colleges and universities are scheduled each quarter. See Transfer Club for the schedule.

Transfer Fairs
Transfer Fairs bring 4-year college representatives to you. If you are planning to transfer to a 4-year college, it's a great opportunity to get your questions answered.
Transfer Fairs are held in the Student Center.

Transfer Options

Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA)
Recommended as a starting point for students who plan to transfer but are unsure of their major.

Degrees structured under the DTA umbrella provide:
Priority admissions consideration at public universities for most humanities and social science majors ahead of non-degreed transfers.

Associate in Arts and Sciences (AA)
For students who are sure of the baccalaureate institution they wish to attend.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
Not generally considered a transfer degree, although exceptions may be allowed for certain programs upon approval. AAS degrees provide occupational training that prepares students to enter the workforce with a solid education and specific skills.

Associate in Applied Science - Transfer (AAS-T)
Built upon the technical courses required for job preparation.

Associate in Sciences - Transfer (AS-T)
Prepares students for upper division study in science-related fields.

Degrees structured under the AS-T umbrella provide:
Priority admissions consideration at public universities for most science and engineering majors ahead of non-degreed transfers.

Evening Transfer Degree
Earn your AA direct transfer degree entirely through evening and online classes. All required evening courses are offered after 5 pm.

Major Related Programs (MRP)
Builds on the AA-DTA degree for students in the arts, humanities and social sciences, and the AS-T degree for students in engineering and science-based fields.

Washington 45
A student who completes courses selected from the First Year Transfer list will be able to transfer and apply up to 45 quarter credits toward general education requirement(s) at any other public, and most private, higher education institutions in the state.

For a complete description of Transfer Options see

Students should work closely with their transfer advisor and a representative from the college they plan to attend.
