2009 Submissions
The deadline for submitting written work for publication in the 2009 Salal Review was November 1, 2008.

Written Submission Guidelines
Five poems, or two stories or essays may be submitted. Include a stamped, self-addressed reply envelope. Submission may also be made by e-mail.

All written work must be original, unpublished, and typed or computer printed. Poems may be single spaced, but stories and essays must be double spaced.

Please include a brief biographical note describing your connection to the Lower Columbia Region.

The Salal Review is LCC's literary magazine. It showcases the best work from the writers, poets and artists of the Lower Columbia region, and is published each year in May by student editors and faculty advisors at Lower Columbia College.

The mission of The Salal Review is to further the arts in the Lower Columbia region by providing writers and artists an opportunity to share their work with patrons of the arts through a collection of the year’s best selections.

Submissions for publication in The Salal Review are accepted each year. Written work is accepted in October and artwork is accepted in January.

2009 Submissions
Artwork for publication in the 2009 Salal Review will be accepted during the month of January, 2009.

Artwork Submission Guidelines
Five pieces may be submitted, either on paper or by e-mail. Color work will be considered for the cover only; all other work must be black and white. We cannot be responsible for one-of-a-kind originals, so please send clean copies. Digital images may also be sent by CD or e-mail, but must be high-resolution jpeg files.
