Giants Draft Lindsley
The San Francisco Giants picked Red Devil shortstop Brooks Lindsley (below) in the 18th round of the 2008 MLB Draft. Lindsley was an all-NWAACC selection this past season. Brooks ha signed and will begin his pro career this summer.

White Sox Tab Merry
The Chicago White Sox selected former Red Devil pitcher Jorden Merry (below) in the 14th round of the 2008 MLB Draft. Merry just completed his junior season as the top pitcher for the Washington Huskies.

Devil Recruit Drafted
LCC recruit Matt Lokken was drafted in the 34th Round by the Florida Marlins. He has signed with Florida. We wish Matt good luck in his pro career and we hope he still considers himself a Red Devil!

Devils drop NWAACC Championship Game
The Edmonds Tritons defeated the LCC Red Devils 6-4 in the final game of the 2008 NWAACC Baseball Championships. Edmonds earlier Monday beat the Devils 4-3 in 13 innings to force the winner take all final game. Details on the Baseball page

Hayley's Comet Wins NWAACC Championship
Hayley Ridout hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday to give the LCC Red Devils a 7-5 victory over Mount Hood in the 2008 NWAACC Championship game. The Devils win the title for the ninth time in 10 years, and it's the 10th softball championship in school history Read more on the Softball page.08 NWAACC Champs



In It, to Win It!

Lower Columbia College is the home of NWAACC Champions! In the past nine years, Red Devils have won a remarkable 11 team championships in softball, baseball and men's basketball.

  • The Lady Devil Softball team won the NWAACC title in May 2008 for the 9th time in 10 years and the 10th title overall.
  • The Red Devil Baseball team has won 9 NWAACC Championships since 1970, the latest in 2005, and has played in the championship game 21 out of the last 38 years.
  • The LCC Men's Basketball team won back to back NWAACC titles in 2004 and 2005. They lead the NWAACC's in total appearances with 31, while placing in 19 of them.
  • The LCC Volleyball team won the NWAACC Championship in 1991 and has made it to the NWAACC tourney five of the last eight years.
  • The Women's Basketball team has appeared in 13 NWAACC Tourneys and placed in 9 of those appearances, including a 4th place finish in 2007.
  • The LCC Women's Soccer team took 3rd in the NWAACC in 1997 and has appeared in the playoffs two of the last four seasons.
