WorkFirst Programs
Lower Columbia College has programs designed to help you keep a job or get a better one! If you are currently involved in the WorkFirst program, our office has resources for you.

For an Overview of WorkFirst - see Program Cards: WorkFirst

Our goal is to make all materials and services accessible. Please inform staff of accessibility barriers you encounter, and request accommodations that will make activities and information resources accessible to you.

What is WorkFirst?
WorkFirst is a Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) program. LCC partners with DSHS to offer education and training programs for families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

WorkFirst Financial Aid (WFFA)
Need help paying for classes? You may be able to get help through this program. It pays for tuition, books and fees so you can build your skills to get a better job or earn a higher wage.

Apply for WorkFirst Financial Aid (WFFA)

TANF Work Study
Would you like to supplement your income with part-time work? You may be eligible for TANF Work Study if you are a WorkFirst student receiving a TANF grant. Let us help you find a position that uses your current skills and build new skills for your future career choice.

Reporting Participation
The WorkFirst office at Lower Columbia College reports WorkFirst student participation to the Department of Social and Health Services. New students must complete an attendance orientation as soon as they are referred to the college.
