WorkKeys Skills Assessments

LCC Business Services, in partnership with ACT, Inc. offers WorkKeys assessments to people who wish to document their skills, to get a "leg up" in a job interview and/or to enhance an application for local, regional, state or federal jobs.

WorkKeys is a comprehensive system designed to help you move from school to work, from unemployment to work, and from job to job. WorkKeys measures your existing skill level against the skill levels needed or required to compete for specific jobs. Several local employers--Best Built Products, Cowlitz PUD, Equa-Chlor, Noveon, NORPAC, Steelscape, Tri-County Truss, Weyerhaeuser, Longview School District and Lower Columbia College--use WorkKeys to screen job applicants and set training goals for their employees or students.

The WorkKeys assessments are offered at the Testing Center in the LCC Admissions Center, and also at LCC Woodland Center. The test series will measure your base performance level at several occupational skills.

WorkKeys has assembled eight different assessment areas. These areas include: Applied Mathematics, Applied Technology, Locating Information, Reading for Information, Observation, Teamwork, Listening, and Business Writing. Upon completion of the assessment series selected, candidates receive a Certificate of WorkPlace Skills, stating the level they have achieved.

The assessment series includes a training product, KeyTrain, to help you obtain the scores you need to fulfill potential or existing employer expectations.
Contact today at 360.442.2601 or see KeyTrain for more on this training.

Workplace Skills Certificate
By taking the WorkPlace Skills assessments, you can offer evidence to prospective employers that you have the skills for the job. Even if an employer is not actively seeking these scores, testing results can boost you to the top of the hiring pool, and can help employers make sure you're a good fit for open positions.
