GED Testing & Classes

About the GED

Many people who did not finish high school have the same knowledge and skills as those who did graduate.

By taking and passing a series of five tests adults can demonstrate they have acquired the same level of knowledge.

LCC is an official General Education Development (GED) testing center.

Instructions for taking the GED Test


All five test subjects are offered on each test date. Test times are:

  • 8:00 am - Writing
  • 10:30 am - Reading
  • 12:00 pm - Mathematics
  • 2:30 pm - Science
  • 4:05 pm - Social Studies

Prepare for the GED

To prepare for the GED test, sign up for Adult Basic Education classes.

The cost is $25 per quarter, with financial help available to those who need it.

Our teachers will test your skills when you sign up, so you will study at the right level.
