The Institutional Review Board (IRB) has been in place since academic year 2005-06 to help ensure the College’s compliance with Policy 408 regarding the Protection of Human Subjects. The IRB considers requests from faculty, staff and students who are interested in conducting any projects involving human subjects. Projects may either be approved, disapproved, or may be granted a certificate of exemption (indicating that the nature of the project meets federal criteria for exemption).

All campus projects involving students or other people must request approval from the Institutional Review Board.
