Your Telephone
Need to set up your voice mail, change your voice mail message, or look up someone's extention? You will find this information helpful.
Making Long Distance Calls
You must obtain a SCAN authorization number (7-digit code) to make long-distance calls. This number is assigned to you by the state, so please keep it confidential. This code can be used from any campus phone. To make a long-distance call using your code, dial the following:
8 - area code - phone number - 7-digit code
Toll Free Number
For out-of-area callers, long distance charges can be expensive. Please provide LCC's toll-free number: 1-866-900-2311. That way the caller can get the information they need and not be charged for the call.
Sending a FAX
Need to FAX a document on campus? Before beginning make sure that the fax machine is on and that you have a cover sheet for your document. Place the pages you need to fax in the slot on the machine (each fax machine will let you know if the document needs to be face up or face down). There are two different ways to enter the number for faxing:
- Local Faxing
Press 9 then dial the phone number and press start to transmit fax.
- Long distance Faxing
When faxing long distance make sure you have your 7-digit code (see Making Long Distance Calls, above). Press 8, then dial the area code, phone number, and your 7-digit code. Press start to transmit fax.
Note: the machine will let you know if the fax did not transmit.
