The Welding Technology program includes the study of metal properties, practical experience in manufacturing methods, production and assembly line welding. The program is designed for people who want to prepare for the state welding examination or qualify for welding jobs in the manufacturing, maintenance or construction fields.
Students must successfully complete the Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) Qualification Test before earning a degree in Welding.

2nd Annual High School Welding Competition - held on February 5, 2009
Twenty-seven competitors from local schools participated, including Battle Ground, Elma, Mark Morris, RA Long, Kalama, Castle Rock, Toledo, Mossy Rock, White Pass and Kelso.
Competitions consisted of intro welding (stick), advanced welding (wire feed) and oxy/fuel cutting torch. Assistance was provided by local industry and LCC welding students.
Special thanks to WFCI and Mechanically Inclined for donating steel, Airgas and Quimby Corporation for donating welding supplies, and C & H Wholesale for donating tapes for the winners.
