Academic Rights

Academic Integrity
As a student at Lower Columbia College, you are expected to exhibit honesty and integrity in your academic work. Members of the college community all benefit from an open, honest educational environment. We are all responsible to encourage and promote academic integrity, a code of moral and artistic honesty. Other Rights & Responsibilities
Rules for student conduct are spelled out in the Student Code of Conduct adopted by Lower Columbia College.
LCC is an alcohol and illegal drug-free campus. If you are found in unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs or alcohol, you will be subject to arrest and conviction.
Smoking is prohibited on the LCC campus, except in designated smoking areas.
Weapons, including firearms, explosives and incendiary devices or other dangerous substances, instruments or facsimiles, are not permitted on the LCC campus, or any facilities operated by the College, or at any activity under the administration or sponsorship of the College.
Forgery, alteration or misuse of College documents, records or ID cards with intent to deceive is prohibited, as is criminal conduct such as assault, rape or theft. Hazing is also prohibited. More information.
LCC policy also provides specific protection for students with disabilities, or those who experience sexual harassment, problems with LCC staff members, or other equal opportunity problems.
Your education records at LCC are confidential. While you may inspect them, your records will not be released to anyone--including your parents or spouse--without your permission, except for stated circumstances, such as emergencies.
To provide an effective environment for adults and to ensure the safety of children on campus, LCC has adopted a special policy.
