2008 Commencement
LCC's Gamma Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will be participating in Project Graduation this year. Graduates and guests to LCC's June 13 Commencement Ceremony are encouraged to bring books and non-perishable foods with them to the Myklebust Gym. Gamma Tau members will be on hand to receive their donations, which will go to local literacy and emergency food agencies.

Who are we?
Gamma Tau, the college's chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa international two-year honor society, emphasizes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship. Membership is open to all students who have had at least a 3.5 GPA at any given time and who maintain a 3.0 GPA thereafter.
In recent years, the Gamma Tau chapter has twice placed among the top three teams at the All-American Academic competition. For the 2005-06 academic year, LCC's Phi Theta Kappa received the Pinnacle award for excellence, chapter president John Lynch was named Regional President, and membership more than doubled.
