Phi Theta Kappa

Who are we?
LCC's Gamma Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is a two-year international two-year honor society that emphasizes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship. Membership is open to students who have had at least a 3.5 GPA at any given time and who maintain a 3.0 GPA thereafter.

In recent years, the Gamma Tau chapter has twice placed among the top three teams at the All-American Academic competition.

Projects

  • Raising awareness of childhood nutrition through Honors in Action project
  • LCC's Gamma Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa participates in Project Graduation. Graduates and guests attending LCC's Commencement Ceremony are asked to bring books and non-perishable foods with them. After the ceremony Gamma Tau members donate books for local literacy and food for emergency food agencies. See also: LCC Commencement
