Lower Columbia College Commencement Ceremony

Participation in commencement is free and there is no charge for cap and gown. Guests and graduates are encouraged to participate in Project Graduation!

Tickets
Admission to commencement for guests is by ticket only. Each graduating student can receive four guest tickets free of charge. Graduates may pick up their tickets from June 2 to June 11 in the Student Activities Office in the Student Center. Graduates who do not need four tickets should let Student Activities staff know. Tickets that are not picked up will be given to another graduate. Extra tickets will be distributed beginning June 12, as available.

Schedule
All guests must be seated by 6:45 pm on June 13. No one will be admitted after 6:45 pm. Those arriving after 6:45 pm can view commencement via live video feed in the Student Center.

Order Cap and Gown
Graduates should order their cap and gown by contacting Student Activities staff in person or by phone at 360-442-2440. Orders will be taken beginning April 8. The last day to order is May 2.

Pickup Cap and Gown
Graduates may pick up their cap and gown at Student Activities from June 9 to June 13 at 4 pm. Graduates who have completed an Associate Degree with a GPA of 3.5 or above may pick up an honor cord.

Rehearsal
Graduates must attend the commencement rehearsal in the gym at 2 pm on Friday, June 13. They will receive the name card that allows them into the commencement line.

Pre-Commencement Line Up
Graduates must be in the dressing room in the Applied Arts Building no later than 6:30 pm on Friday, June 13. This allows everyone to get into marching order.

Photography
A photographer will be at commencement to take pictures.

Special Seating
Graduates who have disabilities, or who have guests who need special seating arrangement should contact at 360-442-2341 as soon as possible. Seating is reserved for those with special needs.

Free Reception After Commencement
Graduates and their guests are invited to attend a free commencement reception in the Student Center after the commencement ceremony is over.

Order Announcements (optional)
Graduation announcements can be ordered from Royal T Papers, or pick up an order form at the LCC Bookstore.

Order Commencement Photos
Gradphoto.com will be photographing your ceremony. They will take a picture of every graduate that crosses the stage, as well as ceremony and friends and family pictures. You can pre-register to receive a free proof of your assigned images as well as an email notification when your pictures go active on our site. The Lower Columbia College password is LOWERCOL.

Project Graduation
LCC's Gamma Tau chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will participate in Project Graduation this year. Graduates and guests to LCC's June 13 Commencement Ceremony are encouraged to bring books and non-perishable foods with them to the Myklebust Gym. Gamma Tau members will be on hand to receive their donations, which will go to local literacy and emergency food agencies.
