Yes, students interested in the BAS-OLTM program must complete an application and be accepted into the program. All applicants will receive a letter indicating if they have been accepted into the program after the deadline to apply has passed.
No, the BAS-OLTM program is a cohort model and we offer new cohorts every academic year in summer/fall. As long as there is a demand, both full and part-time options will be available annually. Applications open in December and are accepted through May 1st. Late applications may be accepted based on circumstance and space availability. We recommend applying early in order to confirm that required courses have been completed.
All of the program courses are offered online, but not during every quarter. Online courses are ideal for those requireing flexible schedules. Please connect with an advisor to determine ideal course terms if you need only online classes.
Hybrid courses (on-campus) are offered during fall, winter, and spring. Classes meet one evening per week (either on Tuesdays or Thursdays depending on your cohort), and your on-campus schedule will remain the same for the 2 years that you are in the program.
Most students complete the full-time program in six quarters. Full-time students take 3 classes per quarter for a total of 15 credits per quarter. The part-time cohort takes nine quarters to complete and continues through summer quarters. Part-time cohorts complete 10 credits per quarter.
Each course requires an average of 15 hours per week for class time, homework, studying, etc. Since you will be taking three classes per quarter, you should set aside an average of 45 hours per week for school.
Please scroll to the bottom of LCC's tuition and fees webpage for information about the BAS cost of attendance.
