Need to finish up a class for your university or college? We can help! If you are taking classes with us to supplement coursework at your home college or university and do not intend to earn a degree or certificate from LCC, complete this visiting student process. Students visiting from another college can skip many of the typical new student steps and enroll directly into their course(s).
Follow these steps below to get started!

Step 1: Submit an LCC Application
- You will need to create an admission account to start your application.
- When applying select “Non-Degree Seeking” for program of study. If you are pursuing a degree, you are not a visiting student and you should follow the normal new student enrollment process.
Important Note: Application processing takes 2-3 business days

Step 2: Find the class you want to take

Step 3: Complete and submit the Visiting Student Form
Important Note: Please include a copy of your unofficial transcript. This will help speed up the process if your class has a prerequisite. If getting your transcript is difficult or your class doesn't have any prerequisites, you can submit the form without a transcript but we may need to contact you for additional information.

Step 4: Check your email for a response within 5 business days, after open registration begins
Unless further information is needed, we will send you a registration email along with further instructions on books, payment, and accessing your course.
Important Note: Visiting students can only enroll in classes after open registration begins. Check the academic calendarfor open registration dates. We process requests in the order they are received, and you should hear back during the first week or two of open registration if you submitted the form early.
Paying for school:
- Visiting students must pay for classes out of pocket by the tuition due date to remain in class.
- Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid and cannot use the promise to pay/hold request form.
- A payment plan is available to split charges into smaller monthly payments.
