If you are taking classes with us to supplement coursework at your home college or university and do not intend to earn a degree or receive financial aid from LCC, complete this visiting student process. Students visiting from another college can skip some of the typical new student steps and enroll directly into their course(s).
Follow these steps to get started!
Step 1: Submit an LCC Application for Admission
- If you already have a ctcLink ID number, use it to log into the Online Admission Application Portal. If not, create an account and submit an LCC application.
- Select “Non-Award Seeking” as your program. If you are pursuing a degree, you are not a visiting student and you should follow the normal new student enrollment process.
Important Note: Application processing takes 2-3 business days
Step 2: Find the class you want to take
Step 3: Submit the Visiting Student Form
Important Note: Please read the form carefully and follow the instructions so we can process your request without more information. You must upload documentation showing you meet any prerequisites.
Step 4: Check your email for a response within 5 business days, for most courses
Unless further information is needed, we will send you a registration email with a permission code so you can register online in ctcLink.
Important Note: Visiting students can only enroll in classes after open registration begins. Some high-demand courses will not be available until continuing students have had an opportunity to enroll. Check the Visiting Student Form for upcoming dates and high-demand course info.
Paying for school:
- Visiting students must pay for classes out of pocket by the tuition due date to remain in class.
- Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid and cannot use the promise to pay/hold request form.
- A payment plan is available to split charges into smaller monthly payments.
