Business and accounting skills are crucial in every type of organization and industry. Whether an organization is public or private, government or non-profit, skilled professionals who can plan, manage, market, and monitor operations are essential. Within LCC's business and accounting programs, you can choose from associate degree programs that prepare you to go to work in business and entry-level accounting positions, or transfer to a bachelor's program.
Choosing a career in business or accounting can lead to a long-term, rewarding career with plenty of variety as well as opportunities for advancement.
Certificate and degree options
There are four associate degree and two certificate options in this pathway. Students who attend full-time can earn a certificate in three academic quarters (one year) or less, and an associate degree in three additional quarters (two years total). Associate degree options include accounting technician, business management, and business transfer (available on campus or fully online). Certificates include general business and retail management.
Transfer pathways for both business and accounting are available through the Lower Columbia Regional University Center, located on the LCC campus.
