"Lower Columbia" is a description of our geographical location.

Our campus is located on the lower banks of the Columbia River. The Columbia River runs from British Columbia, Canada, through the U.S. state of Washington, along the border of Washington and Oregon, and then pours into the Pacific Ocean.  The Columbia River is the largest in length and volume in the Pacific Northwest.

"Lower Columbia" is NOT a reference to our level of education, institutional ranking, or academic offerings.

LCC is an accredited public institution of higher education, offering 90+ programs, including professional certificates, associate degrees, and bachelor's degrees.
