You Can Study Abroad!

International Programs at Lower Columbia College (LCC) offers students the opportunity to participate in exchange programs ranging from two-weeks to a year! LCC is a proud member of the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA), which provides multiple study abroad  programs each quarter.

The LCC International Programs office is available to help you find the study abroad program that fits your interests. We will walk you through the entire process, including applying for the study abroad program, registering for credit, pre-departure readiness, reverse culture shock, and more!

Each study abroad program will have unique requirements. The typical requirements include:

  • Programs are open to students 18 years or older. Some programs may allow travelers under the age of 18 with additional requirements.
  • Programs may require a minimum GPA or college-level credits earned prior to departure
  • Most programs do not require prior foreign language proficiency to participate. Most programs welcome beginner level language learners.
  • Financial aid and scholarships may apply.

WCCCSA Programs

LCC Students have the unique opportunity to take classes abroad that are taught by Washington State Community College faculty and earn credit at LCC. This opportunity is through the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA).  Programs are offered during fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters.
