International Programs at Lower Columbia College offers students the opportunity to participate in exchange programs or to take Washington State Community College Classes taught by Washington State Community College professors, in an international setting. Programs are offered during fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters.
London, England is an international hub of vibrancy and culture. This program will explore culture, children's literature, and creative writing through the lens of this dynamic and exciting city.

Intern and work in Germany for 1 year (limited to ages 18 ½ - 24) (full academic year)
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) is a fellowship funded by the German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State, that annually provides 75 American and 75 German young professionals, between the ages of 18½–24, the opportunity to spend one year in each other's countries studying, interning, and living with hosts on a cultural immersion program.
Barcelona is simply a spectacular city in which to study and live. It is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe and by far the most modern city in Spain. This program will blend Spanish language classes with 2 additional classes, which will be announced once the faculty for this trip are selected.
In this program, you will explore Berlin's rich musical and cinematic traditions, as well as the city's cutting edge contemporary scenes. Study film in the city where film was first considered as an art form, and visit the oldest large-scale film studio in the world, where Fritz Lang's famous Metropolis was filmed, and more recently films by the Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson.

Spend 10 - 12 weeks in the summer studying a language of critical need. Most languages offered by the CLS Program (9 of 15) do not require applicants to have any experience studying critical languages.
